Perfect venue to recuperate and rekindle our connection with nature, because that’s what I experienced! Strolling among the mustard field in the village, showering under the vast open sky, sipping coffee while watching the birds by the rivers, paddling and swimming in the rivers, chasing rhino, hearing the call of deers and roaring of tigers, tracking tigers, get to know the plants grown locally, I had great time in Bardia!

I can’t quite believe I’m writing this, we saw a Bengal tiger walk out of the forest and along the river bank towards us, before hiding away again. 200 kg+ of sheer beauty and power. It was even more majestic than expected. It later came to cross the river into the grasslands, followed by another making the same journey. These two tigers are part of a family of four (mother and three cubs) that often roam close to one another. We were elated, speechless, a little teary, and on top of the world. There are less than 2,500 tigers in the world and fewer people have probably seen a wild tiger than climbed to Mount Everest base camp.
